GRT Awarded 2023 Transportation Alternatives and Recreational Trails Grant

On March 24, 2023, Gov. Jim Justice announced 38 Transportation Alternatives and Recreational Trails grant awards. Funds total $9,734,552 for projects in 22 West Virginia counties.  This includes a $764,941 construction grant to refurbish 37 GRT bridges awarded to the WV Division of Natural Resources (State Parks) in partnership with the Greenbrier River Trail Foundation. Work not to begin this year as stakeholders start the planning process. Updates to follow!
