While Lewisburg is not directly on the trail it serves as a great resource to trail users. The city offers a large number of hotels, restaurants and things to keep everyone entertained. The North Caldwell Trailhead is the closest access point to the trail. Access to Lewisburg or White Sulphur Springs would be via vehicle as roads are narrow, windy and steep.
